Future Data Center Manager Scholarship - 

The AFCOM - NYC/NJ Metro Chapter has designed the following scholarship opportunities to be an investment in the future for data center managers and operators and provide financial support for students looking to obtain a career in the IT industry.

The local AFCOM – NYC/NJ Metro Chapter will award five scholarships, each in the amount of $2,000 to a college undergraduate, or graduate student enrolled in an accredited College or University.

The John Polidori Future Data Center Industry Salesman Scholarship -

The AFCOM - NYC/NJ Metro Chapter has designed the following scholarship opportunity in memory of John Polidori, a friend and colleague.  The scholarship is set up in his name and is intended for a student who shares the same positive outlook, determination, and passion for business and will truly make a difference in the future IT world.

John touched the lives of so many clients and friends during his 20+ year career in fiber optic technology.  Starting his own rep firm in 1998, John was an icon in the New York City market.

The local AFCOM – NYC/NJ Metro Chapter will award one scholarship in the amount of $1,000 to a college undergraduate, or graduate student enrolled in an accredited College or University.

The Technologist Award - (High School Seniors Only!) -

The candidate will be able to show an overall aptitude for many technologies by tying them together on a project outlined by the Afcom Board Members. GPA along with attendance and recommendation letters will all be taken into account when selecting the winner(s) of the scholarship fund.

We will have a 1st and 2nd place aware

1st - $1000 a year for a 4-year college program

2nd - $500 a year for a 4-year college program

The winner(s) will be asked to help develop a web portal for submitting and reviewing the scholarship entries for all future winners.
